Nakasendo Samurai Trail Private Day Tour

By booking and participating in this activity, customers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to the following Activity Policy.

1. ACTIVITY TYPE

• This is a private day tour operated with a chartered vehicle (Toyota Hi-Ace 10-seater).

• The activity includes self-guided walking along the Nakasendo Samurai Trail.

• No tour guide is included unless otherwise stated.

2. PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

• Maximum participants: 8 persons per vehicle.

• This activity involves walking on uneven terrain, stone paths, and forest trails.

• Participants must be in good physical condition and able to walk for approximately 2.5–3.5 hours.

• This activity may not be suitable for:

  • Guests with serious mobility limitations

  • Guests requiring wheelchairs or walking aids

3. PICK-UP & DROP-OFF

• Pick-up and drop-off are provided only within Nagoya City.

• Pick-up time will be confirmed in advance.

• Late arrival at the pick-up location may result in shortened activity time, with no refund provided.

4. VEHICLE USAGE

• Vehicle usage is limited to 10 hours from the confirmed start time.

• Overtime usage may incur additional charges, payable directly on-site if applicable.

• No large luggage is allowed due to limited space.

5. ITINERARY & TRAIL CONDITIONS

• The walking route, duration, or sequence may be adjusted or shortened due to:

  • Weather conditions

  • Trail safety concerns

  • Traffic conditions

• In case of unsafe conditions, the activity may be partially operated or modified without refund.

6. WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE

• This activity operates rain or shine unless safety is compromised.

• KamtuuJapan is not responsible for disruptions caused by force majeure events, including but not limited to:

  • Road closures

  • Government restrictions

7. MEALS & PERSONAL EXPENSES

• Meals, beverages, and snacks are not included unless stated otherwise.

• Participants are responsible for their own personal expenses during the activity.

8. SAFETY & RESPONSIBILITY

• Participants are responsible for their own safety during the walking portion.

• Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are strongly recommended.

• KamtuuJapan and the driver are not responsible for accidents caused by participant negligence.

9. INSURANCE

• Travel insurance is not included.

• Participants are strongly advised to obtain their own travel insurance before joining the activity.

10. CANCELLATION & REFUND

• Cancellation and refund conditions follow the Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy stated on the KamtuuJapan website.

• No refund will be provided for:

  • Late arrival

  • No-show

  • Early departure

  • Unused services

11. LIABILITY LIMITATION

• KamtuuJapan acts as an activity organizer and shall not be held liable for:

  • Injuries

  • Loss or damage of personal belongings

  • Delays or changes due to external factors
